The Massage Therapy program includes significant academic human science content. Therefore OV recommends that all applicants who have not recently taken College or University Level Anatomy and Physiology training complete the Human Science & College Preparation Course offered by OV college of Massage

The Human Science and College Preparation Course is designed to prepare students entering first year of the massage therapy program, and includes:

  • An overview of Anatomy and Physiology, as well as Medical Terminology – preparation for in-depth coverage in first year Anatomy and Physiology classes;
  • Introduction to Musculoskeletal Anatomy – a challenging first year course; and
  • Study skills and time management tips – to help you succeed in the Massage Therapy program.

The preparation course content has been developed utilizing feedback from previous first year students. This preparation is recommended to all students who have not recently taken Anatomy and Physiology training at the post-secondary level. However, this course is designed to be useful to all incoming students.

The course is offered online and onsite.  The online course takes approximately 50-150 hours and is self-directed (it may be started anytime within May 1 and late August.  


Online - opens May 1, 2018 and ends August 7, 2018 *Price has been reduced to $200

Onsite - July 30 - August 20, 2018 - at OVCMT campus, Mon through Fri mornings from 8:30-11:30am

Online - opens September 7, 2018 and ends December 14, 2018
