OVCMT alumna Carissa Carbonneau (Class of 2010) brings 15+ years of clinical excellence and business acumen to our Program Advisory Committee. A Kootenay native who chose Vernon for her training at Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy, Carissa launched her career by opening The Healing Oak clinic in Chilliwack before returning home to establish Okanagan Sage Massage Therapy in Vernon with business partner Josie Teitge.

Recognized among Vernon's Top 20 Under 40, Carissa specializes in chronic pain, muscle tension, stress relief, anxiety management, and headaches. Her entrepreneurial journey - from solo practitioner to co-owning a thriving multi-therapist clinic - provides invaluable insight into private practice success, client retention strategies, and the business skills essential for RMT career longevity.
