Experienced Massage Therapists supervise your beginning practice, including:
Communication and Ethics classes focus on the interpersonal, professional and ethical aspects of Massage Therapy and practice. These courses also serve to establish a supportive learning community within the college.
The program prepares students to successfully meet the competency requirements of the College of Massage Therapists of BC and the other regulated provinces (Ontario, Newfoundland & Labrador and New Brunswick). Upon completion, you are eligible to take the CMTBC Board exams to become a Registered Massage Therapist or RMT. Once registered in BC you may register in the other regulated provinces without further education or examination (other than a jurisprudence exam). BC credentials are widely recognized in the non-regulated provinces.
Bachelor of Health Science Degree Option
Graduates of the OVCMT Massage Therapy Diploma program are eligible to receive credits towards the Bachelor of Health Science degree through Thompson Rivers University, Open Learning (TRU-OL). For more information go to http://www.ovcmt.com/index.php/program/bhsc-degree.
