NEW 2-YEAR PROGRAM - Starting in September 2012 (pending approval from CMTBC and PCTIA)
The Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy is located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, Vernon, British Columbia. Our campus is downtown, walking distance to cafes, shopping and other amenities. This valley of lakes, skiing, wineries, golf and beautiful scenery is a great place to live and learn.
Massage Therapy is a respected Health Care Profession
Massage education leads to a career as a Registered Massage Therapist, or as a Spa, relaxation and wellness practitioner. Massage Therapy is an effective treatment for medical conditions, injuries, and stress using science-based, non-invasive techniques. Massage promotes wellness and assists clients to attain a better quality of life. Our graduates go on to run their own practices, to partner with other healthcare professionals, to continue their education, or to specialize such as with athletes, sports teams, or seniors.
Respectful and caring – with high standards in education
OVCMT’s Massage Therapy program meets the standards in British Columbia to write the Board exams to become a Registered Massage Therapist. The diploma can be applied to a Bachelor of Health Science Degree. We are accredited by both PCTIA and the CMTBC, as well as being a Designated School for Student Aid BC. We teach all of the competencies required by the other regulated provinces in Canada (Newfoundland & Labrador, and Ontario). Graduates of the OVCMT massage therapy diploma program are eligible to receive credits towards the Bachelor of Health Science degree through Thompson Rivers University, Open Learning (TRU-OL).
