  • Students who have an interest in pursuing the fourth year Bachelor of Health Science degree option are strongly encouraged to take a university English course at the 100 level or higher to get the additional three credits required for entrance to the TRU fourth year. We recommend (but do not require) that you take a suitable English course before you start the massage therapy program. Visit the BHSc page for more information.
  • Because the Massage Therapy Program is heavily science-based OVCMT highly recommends that applicants do one of the following within the five years before applying to the program:
    • pass a course in human anatomy and physiology at the university level
    • achieve a minimum grade of 70% in Biology 11 and/or Biology 12 (Taking both courses is very beneficial preparation.)
    • achieve a minimum grade of 70% in the OVCMT Human Science & College Preparation prerequisite course. This third option is the best choice for those who do not have one of the two previous options. Please see comments about the course.
