OVCMT has a reputation for producing well-rounded and professional graduates since 1994. Our massage therapy program is accredited by both the College of Massage Therapists of BC and the Private Career Training Institutions Agency.

In just two years our diploma program prepares you to write the Board exams, become a Registered Massage Therapist, and start your practice. Or after Year One you can graduate with a Spa Practitioner Certificate. In addition, as a diploma graduate you will have earned more than half the credits needed for a Bachelor of Health Science Degree at Thompson Rivers University – Open Learning Agency.

The two-year program offers a unique mix of academic and practical courses coupled with extensive practicum experiences. The practicum component includes the Student Health Clinic, Outreach programs, and a multi-week Internship, totaling 550 hours.

In our Student Health Clinic you have the opportunity to practice and integrate your skills under the supervision and mentorship of professional massage therapists. Our Outreach programs provide you with experience working with a variety of clients, including maternity, special needs, sports massage, and geriatrics. Finally, the Internship at the end of the program provides the opportunity to apply your training under the supervision of a Registered Massage Therapist or other professional in their practice.
