Workshops, Massage Appointments, Banquet & Dance

space for reunions and/or gatherings to take place. Please
contact us if we can support

Workshops
Each workshop will extend two days, 6 hours per day, 9 a.m.
to 4 p.m., with one hour off for lunch. Limited seats available
& pre-registration is required. Once all workshops are
full, we will attempt to create more workshop options.
Option 1
Osteopathic Techniques
Ann Sleeper, RMT
CMT Approved - 12 CEU’s
This workshop includes basic techniques for:
- Spine, rib and pelvis release
- Sternochondral, costschondral, & sternomanubrial
joint release
- Release techniques for the diaphragm,
clavicle and hyoid
- Lymphatic pump techniques
- Rocking massage of paraspinal muscles
Ann has studied osteopathic techniques for
20 years, including muscle energy technique, myofascial
release, cranial and visceral manipulation. She has taught
post graduate courses since 1991.
Option 2
Hot/Cold Stone Massage
Karen Stavast, RMT
CMT Approved - 12 CEU’s
Enjoy an introduction to this somewhat controversial
thermal technique. We have experienced this modality as
being effective for systemic, as well as rehabilitative,
applications. You can accomplish two things; develop your
skills at integrating a deep heat and contrasting medium
into your practice AND experience the benefit first hand.
Karen is a veteran instructor at OVCMT and
has been a practicing RMT for 20 years. She has successfully
taught this course for several years.
Option 3
Fascial Mobilization and Release/Cranialsacral Therapy
Claudia Scrivener, MSPT, RPT
CMT Approved - 12 CEU’s
This introduction course is an excellent first
step into this post grad specialization. It is also appropriate
for individuals who have experience in other fascial and
craniosacral styles.
Claudia holds a master of science degree in
Physical Therapy and is a registered physiotherapist in
BC. She has trained to a mastery level in myofascial techniques
and has studied visceral manipulation and lymphatic drainage
to an advanced level. She has been providing post graduate
workshops in BC for 10 years.

Paul Christopher will be offering a workshop on October 30, 2005 at OVCMT.

The Student Health Spa will be open for all participants
on October 27, 28 & 29th. Appointments will be available
afternoons & early evenings.
