A good night’s sleep can go a long way to  massage student success. If the alarm goes off, and you bury your head and hit the snooze button, here are a few tips to make the early college mornings more bearable. Get a nightly routine with a regular bedtime and avoid the all night cramming sessions.  Turf the electronics- Screen time is stimulating, so avoid the computer, TV or smart phone before heading off to bed.  A warm bath and a good book will do a better job of helping you wind down after a busy day of classes.  Avoid caffeine or alcohol close to bedtime, as that can keep you up when you want to be dreaming. Another tip for a good night’s sleep is exercising a few hours before bedtime. Exercise not only energises you, but studies show that regular exercise helps with a deeper sleep.  Prep for morning so that a great breakfast and a pre-made lunch are waiting for you when finally roll out of bed. Lastly, get a massage! This is massage school after all!   A good night’s sleep goes a long way to making tough mornings easier, and prevents you from drooling on your textbooks in class when you can’t keep your eyes open.
