I have been a massage therapist since 2005.  Presently, I am employed at a massage clinic in the United States.  The clinic employs many massage therapists with different backgrounds and training.  I find that with the extensive training from OVCMT, which exceeds most North American massage requirements, I feel more confident and knowledgeable with my client’s conditions and issues.  The many facets of this school have given me the tools I need to achieve this effective therapy.

The school itself is situated in an ideal location of downtown, Vernon, BC.  The city of Vernon is picturesque and fueled with a vibrant energy.  There is easy access to all the amenities, from dining to residential.  The school is filled with spacious classrooms and a full working clinic. OVCMT provided a substantial amount of resources to assist me in my studies.

The instructors of OVCMT are extremely knowledgeable, with diverse experience.  They are very caring and attentive in order to ensure your success as a student.  Many classes have teaching assistants to allow for more one on one instruction time.  The administration staff is pleasant, courteous, and easily accessible.

I experienced not only the outstanding knowledge that OVCMT had to offer, but also individual growth, which helped to create a foundation for myself as a professional.  At OVCMT, I created bonds and relationships with classmates that were unique and grounding.  The bonds with my classmates helped support me, guiding me as I completed the program.  The support you receive is like that of a caring family network, which builds and continues to grow.

OVCMT’s program pushes you to succeed and perform at your best.  It provides abundant instruction, from anatomy and physiology to business and communications.  However, the intense curriculum still allows for mental preparation and self-care; within the professional realm, these are essential for any lasting success.  I loved all the hands-on clinical experience, outreach programs, and especially the internships.  Supporting mentors allow students to feel the realism of actually being in the field as a therapist, but still have the security of an experienced therapist present.

I will always be thankful for my time and training at OVCMT.  OVCMT helped me become the compassionate therapist I continually strive to be.
