We welcome your application to the Massage Therapy Diploma program.
In order to apply please ensure that you:

B. Register for an Introduction to Massage Workshop. You may attend a workshop either before or after submitting your application; however, the workshop is required before you start the program. Click for more details about the Introduction to Massage Workshop and how to register.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form. You are welcome to apply even if you are in the process of completing prerequisites, and will have them completed prior to program start date. It is possible to receive an acceptance conditional upon completion of prerequisites.
Step 3: Write an essay answering the questions provided on the back of the application form.
Step 4: Complete your budget sheet.
Step 5: Ask your doctor to complete Health Assessment Form.
Step 6: Pay the application fee and send the following documentation by:
Application Fee may be paid by cheque, money order or with a credit card by phone.
Note that documentation of an approved Standard First Aid Course with CPR-C and AED (which includes children and infants), valid through the two year period of study, will be required by the end of first term and before beginning practicum – OCVMT will arrange a first aid and CPR course during first term for those students who don’t already have this (there is a fee for this, approximately $150-175). The Standard First Aid/CPR-C/AED course may be taken with any course provider; however, the certificate issued MUST carry the name of an approved agency listed by CMTBC at http://www.cmtbc.ca/registrants/resources-registrants/question-period-answers-frequently-asked-questions.
Step 7: Arrange for References, Transcripts and *Criminal Record Check (see below). Letters of reference must be sent from your referees directly to the school (see reverse of application form for instructions). Transcripts must be sent from your high school or the Ministry of Education directly to the school. Begin your criminal record check by following the instructions at the bottom of this page.
Step 8: Arrange an Interview. After we have received your completed application and fee, we will contact you to book an interview. The interview will evaluate character, aptitude, motivation, and qualifications, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the college and the program. The college will review and evaluate each application for admission without discrimination regarding age, sex, race, creed, religion or marital status.
Step 9: Securing Your Space. Once accepted, you will be required to submit a supply deposit towards supplies. We reserve the right to request a deposit of up to $600.00. This deposit will be applied towards program supplies, any textbook purchases made through the college, and tuition. Any unused portion of the deposit will be refunded.
*Criminal Records Check - NOT through the RCMP (approximately $30) Applicants must undergo a Criminal Record Check for “working with Children and Vulnerable Adults” as required by the Criminal Records Review Act. Official documentation of a criminal record check is required before final acceptance into the program. Please follow these steps:
Accepted students will receive a letter confirming their acceptance. The letter will explain the payment options and requirements and include a student contract. Student Orientation is held on the first day of class. Policies and procedures manuals, texts, class and school schedules are reviewed at this time. It is the personal responsibility of each student to read and understand the policies and procedures manual. If you wish to review the Policy and Procedure manual prior to attending the college you may request a copy from the administration office.
