About the College
The Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (OVCMT) was established in 1994 and is accredited by both the College of Massage Therapists of BC and the Private Career Training Institutions Agency. OVCMT provides an opportunity to develop professional massage therapy skills at an international level.
The college is located on the second floor of a two story downtown commercial building. The local shops and surrounding hills provide the view from the tall windows.
The 13,500 square foot facility has three main areas:
The administration area holds the main reception, staff and administration offices, staff room and the Anita Patrick Memorial library for staff and students.
The student centre has two large practical classrooms , one academic classroom and one multi purpose classroom, as well as a consultation room, photocopy room, locker area and study room with computers. The computers are available to students for research. There is also a student lounge, a relaxed and interactive setting that includes a kitchen and eating area.
The practicum area consists of ten dry treatment rooms and two wet treatment rooms.
